What started as a shooting investigation more than a month ago may turn into a homicide investigation.
On July 8th, 29-year-old Larry Jerome Isaac Junior was shot once in the back of the head, in the 1600 block of East Broadway. 30-year-old Terrance Lashon Rhone turned himself into police for that shooting.
Rhone is currently charged with aggravated assault. However, that charge may change as Larry Isaac Junior died at University Medical Center on Friday after spending more than six weeks in critical condition.
An autopsy will be performed to see if his death was a result of the shooting. If so, Rhone's charge will be upgraded to murder.
Meanwhile, funeral services are scheduled for Saturday morning. A memorial fund has been set up for Larry Jerome Isaac Junior. You can make your donation at any Plains Capital Bank.
