Labor of Love Blood Drive Kicks Off

United Blood Services is asking you to roll up your sleeve for the 'Labor of Love Blood Drive'. The drive began on Monday and will continue through September 4th. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and a labor day weekend pass to Joyland.

You can donate at UBS all week from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. just stop by 2523 48th St. If you live in Tahoka, you have until 8 p.m. to donate there. UBS crews are set up at the Thriftway at 1729 Lockwood.

On Tuesday, the road crew moves to the United in Brownfield. You can donate from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.

    Police are investigating a stabbing in east Lubbock early Friday morning. Officers responded to the scene at East 4th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard around 3:50 Friday morning. A male victim was taken to UMC. Police are not releasing his name and condition at this time. Police are still searching for the suspect.
