Lubbock Delegates Go to NYC for Republican National Convention

Right now the Republican National Convention is underway in New York and among those in attendance are West Texans.

For the first time all of the delegates and alternates from District 19 are from the Lubbock area. This year Republican party members Tony Renteria, Joe Grimes, Cathy Landtroop, Jean Ann Stratton, Jane Cansino and Pat Cowen were selected as representatives.

The convention lasts through Thursday. During that time the Lubbock delegates will participate in special events including a lunch with first lady Laura Bush.
