Early morning shooting sends man to hospital

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in south Lubbock early Wednesday morning.

Around 3:15 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired call at the Falcon Cove Apartments, located at 6517 Temple. Upon arrival, they found a 25-year-old man who had been shot in the stomach and was surrounded by multiple witnesses. The victim was transported to UMC ER with serious injuries but is currently in stable condition.

The suspect in the shooting fled the scene in a white SUV.

This investigation is ongoing.
