Frenship HS honors the Class of 2013 Friday

From Frenship ISD:

Frenship Independent School District invites you to join us tonight during the district's annual graduation ceremonies as we recognize the 416 graduates in the Frenship High School Class of 2013. Graduation begins tonight at 7 p.m. at Texas Tech University's United Spirit Arena.

The Frenship High School 2013 Valedictorian is Kristen Griggs. Griggs finished with a grade point average of 103.8. She plans on attending The University of Texas in Dallas. The Frenship High School 2013 Salutatorian is Malori Maddox. She had a GPA of 103.1 and will attend Lubbock Christian University. The Frenship High Class of 2013 compiled more than $3.9 million in scholarships.

Tonight's graduation ceremonies will take place despite the absence of 18 graduating students who are representing Frenship as members of the school's baseball and softball teams. Both teams are playing in the Class 4A state playoffs tonight in Abilene. Frenship ISD will hold a special graduation ceremony for these students on Sunday, May 26 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Frenship High School Performing Arts Center
