Posted: Updated:

From Red Cross:

The American Red Cross has been working to help families displaced by Monday's fire at Spanish Oaks Apartments. The following is an update of Red Cross services provided as of last night:

Shelter registration has grown from 44 to 58. At midnight, the count was 14. The Red Cross is expecting to shelter for up to one more week, Alderson Middle School located at 219 Walnut Avenue. 30 lunches have been served, 50 dinners and 66 breakfasts. Additional snacks and ice will be delivered today.

The Red Cross is able to help these individuals and families displaced by the fire because of the generosity of our South Plains communities.  Please consider making a monetary donation to help with services being provided by visiting redcross.org, calling the South Plains Regional Chapter at 806.765. 8534 or mailing a donation or dropping by the Chapter office at 2201 19th Street.
