Hail, high winds possible tonight


Thunderstorms will likely stay to the northeast of Lubbock and most of the South Plains today. A few severe storms are passing through the area, but they will be out of the area shortly.

There will be a lingering chance of showers in the east and northeast through 7 p.m.,, but with not much to show for it. The Tornado Watch will likely remain through at least 7 p.m.

Overnight it will be fair and cooler, near 60 for a low.

Thursday, breezy and hot with highs in the mid 90s.

Friday, sunny and hot with highs near 100.
