DALLAS (AP) - A second day of strong storms kept residents of the eastern Texas Panhandle and North Texas on edge with high winds and hail.
Winds up to 70 mph downed trees and power lines in North Texas on Wednesday night, with one tree falling onto a mobile home near Fort Worth. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter pelted parts of Denton County north of Dallas and Fort Worth.
No injuries were reported there or in the Panhandle, where funnel clouds spun over the plains but only one weak tornado reached the ground in Turkey. No damage was reported from those storms.
