Daybreak Weekend forecaster and co-anchor Cutter Martin has had a passion for weather since the age of four. As a Houston native, Cutter grew up splitting his time between watching coastal thunderstorms and tracking hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico.
Through the process of becoming an Eagle Scout, Cutter learned just how important a general knowledge of the weather and accurate forecasts are to people's well-being. This is why Cutter strives to educate viewers and deliver an accurate forecast.
In his free time, Cutter likes running, the great outdoors, and politics. You can catch him cooking, or eating, at almost anytime because he loves food! Cutter also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Cutter began his weather career developing and presenting forecasts on Texas Tech's student-run radio station, KTXT-FM.
He joined KCBD as a weather intern in September 2012 and became an official member of the First Alert Forecast Team March 2013.
During severe weather Cutter specializes in bringing the latest watches, warnings and forecasts to social mediums, such as Facebook and Twitter.
He also assists John Robison with operating Super-Doppler HD-3 when severe weather develops on the South Plains. Join him Saturday and Sunday mornings for your weekend forecast.
