Before stepping foot in Lubbock, TX, I was in Alpena, Michigan. There, I was the main Anchor and Producer at WBKB. Although, North East Michigan was beautiful, I'm a west coast girl at heart. I was born in Northern California in a small suburb right outside of San Francisco. When I said yes to KCBD I was so excited to put my cowboy boots on and live in Texas. I might not have grown up a country girl but living and working here feels like a great match. Plus, country music is my favorite music to listen too.
I graduated from Saint Mary's College of Moraga, California with a degree in Communication. I began my career in news through a different route. I interned at CBS in San Francisco in the Sports department. I love my Bay Area teams, but I learned quickly that my love was in the news department.
Waking up at 2 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday may seem crazy to most people and in some ways it is, but Producing and Anchoring KCBD's Weekend Daybreak is my favorite! I love being up before anyone else and having fun early in the morning with the Daybreak Crew! Plus, it's a bonus letting all of you know what you can expect for the day ahead!
If you're wondering what I do outside my busy work schedule; you can find me at the gym, Barnes and Noble searching for new books or at home watching Bravo (my guilty pleasure)!
If you have a story idea or any events you would like me to cover on Daybreak Saturday/Sunday email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
