Stolen vehicle suspect leads police on chase down Marsha Sharp

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, DPS Troopers near Idalou spotted a black Dodge Challenger that had been reported stolen out of Spur, TX.

The driver led troopers on a high-speed chase westbound on Marsha Sharp towards Lubbock with speeds up to 105 mph.

He was eventually stopped on the access road of the Marsha Sharp Freeway at the Avenue Q exit shortly after 10 a.m. The driver attempted to run from the scene when he was tackled and taken into custody.

Shortly after, authorities sent the driver to the hospital for evaluation.
