Rawlings to host annual neighborhood clean-up

Help beautify the Harwell neighborhood!

Rawlings Community Center will again be hosting a neighborhood cleanup on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Arrangements have been made to have several roll-off dumpsters placed in the Center's parking lot. Residents of the Harwell neighborhood are encouraged to participate by cleaning their yards and alleys and then bringing their trash to the roll-offs. Residents can also dispose of large appliances, furniture, tires, tree limbs, and other unwanted items. This cleanup is co-sponsored by the City of Lubbock's Solid Waste Department. 

Rawlings Community Center is located at 213 40th Street (40th Street and Avenue B) and offers classes and programs for youth, adults and seniors including Summer Camp, Tex-Mex Cooking, Sewing and Quilting, Kids Café, Computer classes and much more.

Their regular operating hours are Monday - Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Fridays 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.For more information, call 767-2704.
