Driver Dies In Accident On 34th And University

Lubbock Police are investigating a fatal accident in Central Lubbock.

At around 3:30 p.m. witnesses say a man driving a white Chevy sedan was attempting to turn left onto 34th Street from University when the vehicle jumped the median and landed on an on-coming Blazer. The Chevy sedan then flipped and hit a pole.

Rescue crews used jaws of life to free the driver of the Chevy, but he was later pronounced dead.
