The Lubbock Memorial Arboretum, located at 4111 University, will be hosting their Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, the Garden Tour will feature six homes plus the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. The Arboretum strives to showcase options for multiple styles of gardens – from artfully planted wildflowers to a backyard retreat from the busy world. The tour includes both DIY gardens and professionally designed and installed landscapes, so there are plenty of ideas for anyone's pocketbook and for any type of yard.
The public can purchase Garden Tour tickets at the Arboretum or at any of the locations on the tour. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for Arboretum members, and children under 12 are free! This year's tour locations are:

While on the tour, be sure to stop by the Arboretum! The wildflower garden is in full bloom with poppies, larkspur and other wildflowers providing a spectacular color show. Also during the tour, the Arboretum will be selling 55 gallon rain barrels with hardware kits included for just $40 each.
The Lubbock Memorial Arboretum is located inside Clapp Park at 4111 University. All proceeds raised throughout the year go towards the improvement and upkeep of the Arboretum.
