United Blood Services urgently needs O- blood

Provided by United Blood Services

United Blood Services' critical appeal for O- blood continues. Even with an increased number of donors, the hospital usage continues to outpace the supply.

It will take an increased donor flow for quite a few days to remedy the shortage. All O- donors are encouraged to donate immediately and all blood types are needed.

The requirements for donating are simple:

You must be at least 16 years of age and be in good health.

To those in need, the simple act of giving is truly heroic.

Find the hero in you. Go to www.bloodhero.com or call 797-6804 to make an appointment, and then donate at least three times a year.

The Blood Donation Center is located at 48th and University.

Center Hours are:

Monday - 9 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday - 12 p.m. till 7 p.m.

Wednesday - 9 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.

Thursday - 12 p.m. till 7 p.m.

Friday - 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Saturday - 9 a.m. till 2 p.m.
