From USDA Office of Communications:

Agriculture Tom Vilsack will host a town hall meeting at Texas Tech to discuss the importance of passing a Food, Farm and Jobs Bill for rural America.

The Obama Administration has called for Congress to pass a five-year farm bill that promotes rural development, preserves a strong farm safety net, maintains nutrition programs, encourages the development of local and regional markets, enhance conservation, honors our international trade commitments, and advances agricultural research.

The event will take place Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the Museum of Texas Tech University in the Helen DeVitt Jones Sculpture Court at 3301 4th Street (SE corner of 4th and Indiana.)

Note: Doors open at 9:15 a.m. on a first come, first served basis in the sculpture court. Parking is available.
