LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The first storm developed in northern Lubbock county just after 5 p.m.

This storm brought areas of tennis ball to baseball-sized hail across northeastern portions of the city of Lubbock, especially near New Deal, just north of the airport.

This storm developed into a stationary line of storms across Hockley, Lubbock and Garza counties after 6 p.m. This segment of storms brought quarter to golf ball-sized hail to the city of Lubbock, as well as widespread street flooding.

Further south, a strong thunderstorm produced a rotating wall cloud near O'Donnell, as well as 70+ mph wind gusts, and more baseball-sized hail. Then, the storms merged into a solid line of storms, but weakened, and moved across the rest of the South Plains between 9:45 and 11:30 p.m.

The airport only received 1.89 inches of rain, however many across the city saw between 1 and 2 inches, including the Science Spectrum with 1.34.
