Consider This...Important severe weather partnership

Posted: Updated:

I want to take some time and thank KCBD staff members for their commitment and dedication to keeping all of our viewers informed during severe weather.

When severe weather strikes, our team never hesitates. They don't have to be asked, they just spring into action to keep you ahead of the storm.

There is also another group that actually puts themselves in harm's way to warn others:

Trained storm spotters like KCBD's David Drummond are out there watching the skies to help our Chief Meteorologist John Robison give as much warning as possible.

Consider this:

We witnessed first hand the value of KCBD's commitment and our storm spotter's experience when we saw the moment of the tornado forming live on KCBD.

It was like nothing I'd ever seen unfold during severe weather coverage.

That storm was on a path toward the City of Sundown and those folks were able to take cover thanks to that advanced warning. And of course, we are all thankful no one was hurt.

So thank you to our weather staff for your dedication and thank you to all storm spotters for your partnership with us to keep people safe.
