One shooting suspect is in jail and police are still searching for another after multiple shots were fired in the Depot District Saturday.
Police say a gun was pointed at someone but no one was injured.
23-year-old Christopher Riojas is now behind bars but officers are still on the lookout for another shooter.
Police officers were patrolling the district when they heard multiple shots fired just after 2 a.m. Witnesses at Club Heaven told police there was an argument inside the club, two people left, then came back to fire multiple rounds and fled in a white four-door Mitsubishi passenger car.
"I don't know what his intentions were," said Sgt. Lewis with the Lubbock Police Department. "But he returned to the scene and fired his pistol and then one of the other guys from his party came running up when he heard that pistol being fired. He ran up and fired his pistol as well," Lewis said
Lewis said police chased the vehicle for about five minutes and finally stopped the car in the 500 block of 53rd Street. Two people left the vehicle and fled on foot while two others stayed behind.
Police have identified the two who ran as the shooters. One of them was located and taken into custody. Police say the other suspect has been identified but has not been captured as of Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the car, Brittni Nicole Macias, 21, was also arrested and charged with evading arrest.
Police also say the two weapons have been located.
"During all of this, officers did recover the guns. One gun at the scene at 1900 Buddy Holly, they recovered a .45 semi-automatic pistol. And at 1900 Interstate, on the access road, we recovered a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol," said Lewis.
Riojas has multiple prior offenses including domestic assault, burglary and evading arrest.
