United Blood Services continues 2013 Freedom Drive

From United Blood Services:

ROCK-101, the BEAT-104.9 and United Blood Services are asking all available donors to give the gift of life.

Leading up to July 4th, it is very important for our community to have an adequate blood supply. Every donor who comes to the blood donation center to cool off and save lives will receive a special patriotic T-shirt. All donors will also be registered to win an Apple iPad.

The Freedom Blood Drive will take place from Monday, June 24th through Wednesday, July 3rd at the blood donation center and at selected mobile locations. The center hours of the drive will be 12 until 7 on weekdays and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The mobile locations will be announced each day on the air.

Blood donor requirements are simple. They must be at least 16 years of age, be in good health, and have valid picture identification.

The blood donor center is located at 48th and University. You can call United Blood Services at 797-6804 for an appointment or go to www.bloodhero.com . Find the Hero in You. Donate blood at least 3 times a year.
