The Bridge of Lubbock seeking donations for roof repairs

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A local non-profit is asking for the public's help to restore the roof of it's building after recent storms ripped part of it off.

The Bridge of Lubbock at Redbud and East 13th is an organization dedicated to mentoring area children.

But the building is old and according to Vice President Erik Everett, when storms come, the building leaks. He says they don't have the money to fix the problem.

"We're already kind of tight on funds as it is and we're going through our core outreach of serving the youth of east Lubbock and the community in general," he said.

The Bridge of Lubbock is funded entirely by grants and private donations from the local community.

If you'd like to make a donation, you can call the Director of Outreach Ashlei Watson at (806) 687-0772.
