1 injured, 1 killed in head-on collision near Roscoe

One person was killed and one was injured at 12:20 p.m. Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Nolan County. This crash occurred five miles north west of Roscoe, Texas.

Silvia Torres Trevino, 75, from Roscoe, Texas was driving a 2011 Nissan east on U.S. Highway 84.

Richard Anthony Ginn, 50 years of age from Lubbock, Texas was driving a 2004 Ford pickup west on U.S. 84. The Nissan crossed the center stripe and struck the Ford pickup head-on.

Silvia Torres Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Tim Fambrough at 1 p.m.

The body was taken to McCoys Funeral Home in Sweetwater, Texas.

Richard Anthony Ginn was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was in stable condition as of Sunday night.

The weather was clear and the roadway was dry. This crash is being investigated by Trooper James Wheeler.
