LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

After 12 seasons at Meadow, including six as Head Coach, Kent Allison is leaving the 6-man pigskin power to become the Defensive Line Coach at 3A Lubbock Cooper.

Taking over at Meadow is longtime 6-man Coach Bobby Avery. Entering his 31st year of coaching, Avery has previously been at Whitharral and Borden County, where he won a state title in 1997.

Allison went 52-19 with the Broncos including two state semifinal appearances. He has plenty of 11-man coaching experience with stops at Pampa, Abernathy and Clarendon.
