County Commissioners are set to choose a new constable for Lubbock Precinct Four as early as next week.
Today they interviewed Kenneth Harris, Brenda Willis and Heath Rudder for the position. Harris and Willis both serve as Sheriff's Deputies for the Lubbock County Courthouse. Rudder is a patrol officer and investigator with the Shallowater Police Department.
The appointee will take the place of Carroll Thomas who resigned on Sunday.
However, commissioners say the person selected will have to run for the unexpired term left by Thomas and run in the 2014 primary election.
Commissioners will discuss their decision on Monday, July 8 during their executive session.
