LPD searching for robbery suspects after midnight theft

Posted: Updated:

From Lubbock Police Department:

On Wednesday, July 3 at 12:13 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at 302 N. Brentwood.

The victim, Abdul Hotakey, was talking on his cell phone outside of 302 N. Brentwood when he was approached by two male suspects wearing masks. As the suspects approached, Hotakey walked inside his friend's residence. This did not deter the suspects as they followed the victim into the residence.

One of the suspects pointed a hand gun at the Hotakey and demanded his wallet. Suspects took a gaming console from the living room and fled the scene on foot.

Hotakey was not injured and the suspects were not located. The investigation is still ongoing.
