Gang member arrested after chase through south Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police have a member of the Tango Blast gang in custody after a high-intensity chase through south Lubbock on Thursday.

Officers attempted a routine traffic stop at 1300 65th Drive at 3:20 p.m. The driver, 26-year-old Manuel Flores III, left his vehicle and led police on a foot chase.
 
Flores evaded officers and forced his way into two different apartments. When he was finally cornered, he jumped from a second story balcony and continued to flee on foot.
 
Flores was apprehended a short time later. He is charged with possession of narcotics, burglary, evading arrest and violating parole.
