1 dead, 1 critical after Saturday morning rollover

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Saturday morning accident has killed a Levelland man and left another in critical condition.

18-year-old Edward Campos was driving westbound on Highway 114 around 4 a.m. when police say his vehicle veered off the roadway and rolled three times.

His passenger, 24-year-old Adam Lee Reyes, was not wearing a seat belt. Reyes was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the east bound lanes.

Police say Reyes was then hit by another vehicle.

Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Campos remains in critical condition at UMC with life-threatening injuries.

No word yet on the cause of the accident.
