Street crews began reconstructing the two outside lanes on the south side
of the Milwaukee & 82nd intersection.
This work will complete the reconstruction of
the road following the incident on June 26 where the concrete buckled
due to the heat.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Milwaukee
just south of 82nd Street.
Street crews will be removing portions of the road Monday and Tuesday
and hope to have the concrete poured on Wednesday.
Barring any delays, the Streets Department
projects the road will be re-opened on Friday.
