Authorities led on chase across Lubbock County, 3 arrested

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock law enforcement agencies have arrested three suspects after a car chase Wednesday.

According to Sgt. Jason Lewis with the Lubbock Police Department, it began when officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call at Mackenzie Park around 8:40 a.m.

When police approached the vehicle, the suspects drove away, leading officials on a high-speed chase. Lewis said LPD followed the car until it reached the county line and let the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office take over.

Eventually the Idalou police, DPS troopers and a DPS helicopter assisted in the pursuit.

The chase ended around 10 a.m. when the suspect vehicle blew a tire at North Boston and Colgate in Lubbock.

Two suspects were arrested and a third fled the scene on foot. Police report that the third suspect has now been taken into custody.

The only name police are releasing at this time is 17-year-old Jeanice Cisneros. She was arrested for lying about her identification.
