Police searching for suspects in south Lubbock home invasion

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are searching for four suspects they say raided a home in south Lubbock Wednesday.

Police say just after midnight, four men broke into a home near Clapp Park at 45th and Avenue S.

They say the men knocked on the door, hid behind a wall and attacked the homeowner's grandson when he answered.

Police say one suspect armed with a pistol hit him over the head. The suspect then held him at gunpoint while the other men robbed the house. They say the suspects busted out a screen door and took numerous valuable objects from the home.

The homeowner, Becky James, was not home at the time.

Police do not know if they ran away by foot or by vehicle.

They ask that anyone with information about this crime call Crime Line at 741-1000.
