Several law enforcement agencies chased down a vehicle carrying illegal immigrants in Floyd County Wednesday.
According to Border Patrol representative Bill Brooks, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office initiated a routine traffic stop around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The vehicle initially pulled over but then fled.
Officials say the vehicle came to a stop and six subjects fled on foot through a corn field 1 mile west of Lockney. Floyd County Sheriffs, Border Patrol, Hale County Sheriffs and DPS were able to detain three men.
The three men arrested have citizenship in Mexico and are being held in the Lubbock County Jail.
Officials are still searching for the other three men.
