LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

An overnight accident sent two people to the hospital Sunday evening.

Police say on Sunday, around 10:55 p.m., an SUV and a car collided at the intersection of 22nd and Avenue Q.

They say the driver of the SUV, 32-year-old Jesus Vasquez was traveling eastbound on 22nd when he lost control of the vehicle due to speed. He ran the stop sign at Ave. Q and hydroplaned. The other driver, 23-year-old Aldo Jesus Fuentes, was traveling northbound on Ave. Q when he struck Vasquez' vehicle.

Officers say the accident ended when Vasquez' vehicle crashed through the wall of the Central Appraisal District Building.

Police say both men had minor injuries.
