The pairings were announced Tuesday and Texas Tech will square off with Pittsburgh in the semifinals of the Legends Classic the Monday before Thanksgiving at the Seventh Annual Legends Classic, which will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
After playing a pair of regional round games on campus, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Texas Tech, and Houston will travel to Brooklyn for Championship Round action on Nov. 25-26.
The semifinal doubleheader on Monday, Nov. 25 will begin with Pittsburgh squaring off against Texas Tech at 6:30 p.m. (CT), followed by Stanford taking on Houston. Both games will be televised live on ESPN2. The next night, the consolation game will begin at 6:00 p.m. (CT) on ESPN3 followed by the championship game on ESPNU.
This marks the second-ever meeting with Pittsburgh, with the last time coming in the 2008 edition of the Legend Classic. Pittsburgh topped Texas Tech, 80-67.
Texas Tech will advance to face either Stanford or Houston. The Red Raiders are 1-3 all-time against the Cardinal, while former Southwest Conference rival Houston leads the series with Texas Tech, 27-26.
