On 7-15-13, the investigation led to the identity of the suspects. The suspects were contacted and the Department recovered most of the iPads and other electronic equipment that was taken. During the investigation it was found that the school had been broken into twice. The first time was just two of the suspects where some items were taken, but no vandalism occurred. The second time, one of the previous suspects and two new suspects entered, stole the remainder of the iPads and caused the extensive damage to the school.
One of the adult suspects will be charged with Burglary of a building
Three of the suspects will be charged with Burglary of a building and Felony Criminal Mischief. Due to having to wait on indictments, and the fact that two of the suspects are juveniles, names of the suspects will not be released. However, their ages range from 14 years old to 18 years old.
One of the adult suspects and one of the juvenile suspects have also been linked to an earlier Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle case which has been solved due to this investigation.
