A Lubbock teen is dead, and another teen is in jail Saturday night charged with his murder.

According to Police, 16-year-old Chris Barns and 18-year-old Alexander Baquera were arguing over a girl in the Tinseltown parking lot Friday night.

Baquera reportedly punched Barns once in the side of the head. Barns then fell in and out of consciousness, until about 2:30am, when he and his friends ended up at the Lowes parking lot. That's when police and EMS were called.

When EMS arrived, Barns was unconscious and not breathing. He was taken to UMC where he was pronounced dead.

Baquera was arrested and is being held at the Lubbock County Jail charged with Barns' murder.
