Today Jon David Bruegel will announce his intent to seek the Republican nomination for Lubbock County Commissioner, Precinct 2. As an up and coming leader in Lubbock politics Jon David is currently building strong connections with the locals of his hometown to ensure his victory in the primary. Jon David's highest priorities as a commissioner will be to promote fiscal conservatism and open, transparent local government.

Jon David is ready to serve his country as a public servant. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in History from Thomas Edison State College through distance learning. He has spent his life in Lubbock and is looking to invest back into his roots. Jon David is currently employed as Manager at Action Doors, a small garage door service company based in Lubbock. His talents are found in his ability to effectively manage people and resources and understand the concerns of the citizens of Lubbock County.

Jon David has been involved in local politics since 2010 when he helped several conservative candidates win their elections. He has even worked as a staffer for a member of the Texas House of Representatives in Austin during the 83rd Regular Legislative Session.

As a County Commissioner, Jon David will work to ensure that property tax rates are low and services are provided to Lubbock County residents in an efficient and effective manner. He will also make long term planning to avoid further county debt, a priority.

Lubbock is a growing city with many challenges it will face in the coming years. If elected, Jon David will work hard to ensure that the county will be fiscally strong in the long run. He is committed to public policies that will make Lubbock County an even better place to live.

A formal announcement will take place at the Science Spectrum at 2579 South Loop 289 at 12:30PM on Thursday, July 25th. A reception will follow for all who attend.
