East Lubbock Car Chase Results In Deadly Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A car chase takes a deadly turn in East Lubbock Monday morning.

It started just after 1:30 when police tried to pull over a vehicle for excessive speed in the 1100 block of East Parkway. The driver refused to stop and led police on a high speed chase through East Lubbock.

It came to an end when the driver, 22-year-old Anthony Deshaun Hawkins, crashed into a brick wall and was thrown from the vehicle.

EMS took Hawkins to University Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead.
