Attempted Capital Murder Trial Begins In Lubbock Court

An attempted capital murder trial is underway in Lubbock County.

17-year-old Nathan Rios is charged with attempted capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Rios and four other men are charged in a December 6th shooting. Police believe the men were shooting at each other through two separate cars. One of those bullets grazed a 25-year-old woman who was sitting in a car in the 1500 Block of 38th Street.

The other suspects have not yet gone to trial.
