1 seriously injured in rollover on Avenue U

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police have identified the man involved in a rollover early Sunday morning.

Investigators say around 2 a.m., 34-year-old Jose Benancio Segovia, Jr. was driving too fast to stop at the intersection of Avenue U and S. Loop 289.

Police say he skid across the westbound access road of S. Loop 289 causing the vehicle to run into a ditch and roll.

Segovia, Jr. was ejected from his vehicle and was taken to UMC with serious injuries.
