LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Five people have been arrested after a pair of online prostitution sting operations conducted by Lubbock undercover police.

During the arrests, officers discovered two underage girls being used as prostitutes.

Police conducted operations at the Red Roof Inn at 6624 I-27 on Wednesday night.

The following people were arrested:

April Ramirez, 19, was charged with compelling prostitution, human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Gregori Arrambide, 23, was charged with human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Samantha Arrambide, 20, was charged with human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Leah King, 21, was charged with compelling prostitution, human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Abel Reyna Jr., 29, was charged with human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Sgt. Jason Lewis with the Lubbock Police Department says this is not typical for Lubbock.  He says Lubbock police are very good at monitoring this kind of activity.  In fact, Lewis says, other agencies in other areas call to ask how to combat this growing epidemic.

Sgt. Lewis could not release the exact ages of the juvenile girls or disclose what the relationships are among the five people arrested.  He said the investigation is still ongoing.  KCBD will have more updates as it becomes available.
