LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock Police are still looking for a woman they say nearly hit a motorcycle officer on Friday.

Lubbock police have issued a warrant for aggravated assault on a peace officer after a motorcycle officer was nearly struck by a vehicle on Friday morning.

Police say Victoria Duong, 19, made a U-turn and accelerated directly towards a motorcycle officer as he was trying to make a traffic stop at 6600 Brentwood on Friday morning.

They say the officer was trying to stop a green Toyota for speeding. The officer followed the car to this dead end street where he assumed it would be turning in to a driveway.

Instead, the officer had to make an emergency turn as the Toyota made a U-turn and headed straight for him.

The police statement says the vehicle missed him by inches.

Police are asking anyone with information about this person to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
