Ninth Judicial District Attorney Matthew Chandler announced today that Texas Rangers located and apprehended Charles W. Fleming this afternoon. On Friday, August 2nd, the Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office sent out a media release asking the public for help in locating Fleming who was wanted in New Mexico for failing to appear in Court on charges of embezzlement.
Early Monday morning a citizen called the Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office with information on the possible whereabouts of Fleming.
The tip was circulated to law enforcement and at approximately 2:00 pm (MST) he was located at a residence in Lubbock and taken into custody without incident.
Fleming's bond is currently set at $250,000 cash only, and he will have an extradition hearing will be set within the week.
