LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech officially opened its 2013 football season Friday as 104 Red Raiders arrived at the Football Training Facility to report for fall camp.

Texas Tech will conduct its first workout of fall camp Saturday in a public practice to be held inside Jones AT&T Stadium at 6 p.m. The practice will be the first of 23 leading up to the season opener Aug. 30 at SMU. Saturday will be the only practice open to the public during fall camp.

Fans who plan to attend Texas Tech's open practice should enter Jones A&T Stadium through Gate 1 (southwest corner) while free parking will be provided in the areas indicated on the map above.

Meanwhile, a special Select-A-Seat function will be held prior to the practice beginning at 5 p.m. and hosted by the athletics ticket office. The function at Jones AT&T Stadium will offer fans that have renewed season tickets or wish to purchase season tickets a chance to pick their seat in the stadium. Representatives will also be available to process or renew season ticket orders.

Fans who attend Saturday's open practice will have the opportunity to watch and interact with the Masked Rider and Raider Red. Also on the schedule are appearances from the Texas Tech soccer and volleyball teams.

Texas Tech's home opener is schedule for Sept. 7 against Stephen F. Austin at 6 p.m.

Season tickets are available online at texastech.com/tickets or by calling the athletics ticket office at 806-742-TECH.
