A group of local athletes got their wheels turning for a great cause Saturday morning.
The 2nd Annual Cycle for Hope rolled out to raise money for the Southwest Cancer Center, Celebrate Today Fund and the Children's Miracle Network.
The 7-mile ride took cyclists through UMC and Texas Tech.
Event Co-organizer Greg Pinkert says it's a great way to so something they love while raising funds for a good cause.
"We wanted to do an event that helped promote fitness and cycling," Pinkert said. "Get some people interested in cycling and also benefit the cancer center."
Last year, Cycle for Hope raised over $11,000.
