Jones AT&T Stadium unveils new high-def scoreboard

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

In 27 days, the Red Raiders will kick off, and fans will get to enjoy a whole new HD experience.

Texas Tech's new video board was unveiled to the media on Saturday.

The new addition to the Jones AT&T Stadium is the 8th largest in the country.

The screen is 38 feet tall and 100 feet wide.

A new sound system is also being installed. The system went live last Sunday and has been in testing all week.

Deputy Athletic Director Joe Parker says, "It's going to be an entirely different game day experience, so I hope people can appreciate it."

Texas Tech had to convert their entire control room to handle the high definition upgrade.

And as for the name of this monster - that's yet to be decided.
