Salvation Army offers free community block party on National Night Out

WHAT: The Salvation Army will host a FREE night of safe, kid-friendly, family fun in celebration of National Night Out, which encourages individuals to leave their homes and spend time with their neighbors. This is the 4th annual National Night Out Block Party held by The Salvation Army and over 500 people are expected to attend. This year the block party will include: face painting, hot dogs, dessert, Bahama Bucks snow cones, water slides, obstacle course, volleyball, bingo with prizes, and so much more!

WHO: -Everyone is welcome!

-Bahama Bucks will be serving free snow cones

-Live music and performances (Stephen Abbott and Theta Ainsworth)

-Bliss Dental doing face painting and speaking with families about oral hygiene

-Salvation Army church members and youth groups

-Advisory Board Members

WHEN: Tuesday, August 6, 6 - 8 p.m.

WHERE: Dave Freriks Park located at 1600 Avenue K (Corner of 16th Street and Avenue K in downtown Lubbock)
