Monday, 19-year-old Samuel Anthony Cisneros of Abernathy entered a guilty plea for shooting two men in Abernathy on May 27, 2012.
Cisneros admitted he fatally shot 53-year-old Asuncion Loredo and critically injured 30-year-old Jose Ruben Perez when arrested on that night.
Cisneros told the court he was protecting his family from Perez who he said stole from his 68-year-old father. He also said Perez had threatened Cisneros' father and 7-year-old brother with violence.
