LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One woman is in critical condition at a Lubbock hospital following a hit and run Tuesday night.

Just before 10 p.m., police responded to the parking lot of the Park Meadow Villas apartment complex at 2502 Weber Drive.

Police say there was a large fight in progress in the parking lot when they arrived.

They say 26-year-old Evelyn Denise Washington walked away from 34-year-old Bobby McDade during the altercation. Police say McDade got into a silver Cadillac, drove toward Washington and struck her, causing her to fall into the street. McDade then backed up and fled the scene.

Lubbock police have confirmed that Washington and McDade are brother and sister.

Washington was taken into surgery Tuesday night.

McDade has a long list of priors including several charges for aggravated assault.

Police say they are still searching for McDade. If you have any information about his whereabouts, police ask that you call Crime Line at 741-1000.
