Lubbock police hosting Family Day Saturday at Ashley Furniture

Lubbock police will be hosting Family Day on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ashley Furniture at 5026 Frankford Avenue.

"Wives Behind the Badge" have organized the event to allow kids and families to interact with law enforcement and provide a fun, positive experience.

Lubbock Police K-9, motors, bicycle, and mounted patrol will be present for questions and demonstration.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office will also have K-9, mobile command units, and a SWAT vehicle on site.

  • Fingerprinting for kids
  • Coloring book and sticker giveaway
  • Interaction with officers and equipment
