MIA & POW Vigil Held Saturday

A 24 hour vigil in Lubbock paying tribute to POWs and MIAs has ended.

The vigil at the Lubbock Area Veteran's War Memorial started at 11:30 a.m. Friday morning with a ceremony and 21 gun salute.

Cadets with the Texas Tech Air Force ROTC host the vigil each year to pay tribute to Prisoners of War and those soldiers classified as Missing In Action.

Congressman Charlie Stenholm served as the keynote speaker at Saturday's memorial.
